I first saw the adorable 14-pages spread of Anne Hathaway and Jake Gyllenhaal goodness in Entertainment Weekly, and said two things to myself:
“Hey they surprisingly look cute together!”
“Wow now I see what the fuss about Gyllenhaal is all about. He is indeed hot!”
I wanted to watch the movie ever since. It did not come to Malaysia, not surprisingly. Only watched halfway last week and finished the movie yesterday. And I cry..like..madddd!
Honestly, I did not see how the tomatometer is only 48 percent for the respective movie. I mean, the brilliant acting and on-screen chemistry (not to forget the sacrifice of being filmed in the most intimate positions almost 80% of the time), should have been appreciated more, right?
Anne could surely backs me up on this. She jokingly said during her hosting in the Oscar that she should have got nominated only by acting nude.
Anyway, apart from that out-of-nowhere Pfizer salesman business, I was really drawn into the movie. What is coming below is going to sound cheesy if you have not watched the movie, but if you have, I can assure you that you would think that it is the sweetest lines ever said.
Jamie Randall: I’ve never known anyone who actually believe that I was enough until I met you. And then you made me believe it too. There will be couples with tons of money, worrying about their next holiday destinations and lavish homes. I do not want that. I want us.
And Maggie Murdock is the happiest parkinson patient ever. EVER.
