CHIC POP STREET MARKET #7!
So after the long wait, I finally got to experience my first ever chic pop street market! Always a big fan of street market, and I have always craved for more Malaysian markets since last year’s Urbanscapes.
It was sunny when we found the venue, and stylistas were literally flocking in almost every single booth that it was a struggle to even look at the stuffs. But hey, that’s the beauty of shopping in a street market, right? You FIGHT for your harvest! ;)
I purposely did not look at any vendor’s blogs, because I want to be completely surprised. And an awesome surprise, it was :) From crop tops and chiffon scallop tops to handmade bowtie and gorgeous artsy necklaces..and anything a girl could ever ask for..its all there!!
I fell for the bold superhero headbands from ‘Zikkos’, the perfect artsy vintage necklaces from ‘The Things Eye Made’, the popping colors from ‘The Wardrobe’, chiffon tops from ‘Past & Present’, and the new-vintage from ‘Stellar Studio’, among other tantalizing statement pieces.
I had to keep reminding myself to start taking pictures and jotting down notes for the article I am doing for the uni’s newsletter. And not long after I started taking pictures, I met Joshua Chay, whom I asked for an interview. Humbly, he offered to bring me to Tongue in Chic’s editorial assistant, Karen Wong. And so I got to talk to her and she is so so warm and bubbly :) I was too happy that I forgot to take picture with her! :( But thank you so much, Joshua!
So the hunt continued. And I found treasures like a floral lycra dress from River Island, a structured dark blue crop top, a print tank dress, and a handmade bowtie for my boy! All that for RM55. AHHHH, fashion orgasm!
Besides all the blogshops, Tongue in Chic has its own booth. You get to shop and they will donate the money for Japan. And Michelle, my bestfriend who introduced me to Tongue in Chic, got me a creme midi skirt from there. I love it :)
I got my first 3 style-shots too today :)
And 5.5 hours and countless rounds after, we went back. With the re-usable bags dangling in our shoulders, inevitably heavier than when the sun was still shining so fiercely.
