bittersweet

fashion musings. culinary adventures. things that put a smile on my face.

An intimate showcase experience with zee avi. KL Live was turned into a cozy cafe setting with hundreds of small lights, with a simple stage where 2 guitars, an okulele, a drum, an a double bass lie. she is not just a singer, she is a great storyteller whose strories can relate to almost anyone. needless said, petite zee avi performed with a top notch quality of voice with some husky elements that makes her undeniably addictive, at least to me. 10 songs, 2 are cover version, felt really short. i was so swayed that coming to the end of it, all i have ever wanted is the encore. which she did. monte. was her very last song. twas more than just another concert for me. an enjoyable singalong which made dreamy-over-the-top-corny me believed it was just me and her in the whole venue. it really felt like me-timing in a secluded beach with warm sandy breeze twirling around my face. after all, she is still the one i wake up to every morning, though listening to her record will never feel the same after the live experience.
